Do you get frustrated while waiting for the perfect day to collect field spectra?
Oftentimes when taking field measurements, one day it is sunny and the next day it is cloudy. The problem is that this fluctuation throws off your data. In fact, rapidly changing atmospheric conditions poses one of the greatest obstacles to the collection of accurate field-collected reflectance spectra using solar illumination.
Why is this? Field measurements collected in illumination conditions that are inconsistent with the associated reference measurement cannot be reproduced or correlated to imagery with any degree of certainty. Basically, there is too much variability. Is there a method for constant atmosphere collection?
Yes - there is! At the ASPRS IGTF 2017- Uniting Imagery, GIS, Mapping, & Surveying March 12 – 16, 2017, ASD will be joining scientists presenting new research and moving the industry forward. We are excited to share more information about our FieldSpec Dual solution. Visit our team at booth #406 to discover:
- What is the process for that technology?
- What is it about?
- Why is it important?
Stop waiting for “ideal” weather to get your fieldwork done. See firsthand a demo of the Fieldspec and HandHeld2 and learn about the flexibility the FieldSpec Dual provides.
