ASD had a great time at the AME Mineral Exploration Roundup in Vancouver, Canada this year! ASD was on-site at this event, exhibiting in our booth all four days, 23 January through 26 January. This annual conference typically brings together geoscientists, prospectors, investors and suppliers to share their mining industry ideals. This was a productive event that allowed us to get in front of some of our customers and prospects, round them up (!), and have the opportunity to demo and display our ASD NIR product instruments, TerraSpec® Halo Mineral Identifier and TerraSpec 4 Hi-Res Mineral Spectrometer. Thanks for stopping by to see us, and if we missed you, please consider visiting with us at a future trade show event that ASD will be at in 2017!
Prior to attending Roundup, ASD had the chance to catch up with one of our TerraSpec Halo customers and Roundup attendees, Patrick Lengyel of Chalice Gold. Chalice Gold Mines is an Australian-based mining company; in 2015, Chalice Gold completed a comprehensive surface exploration program on the Cameron Gold Project, an advanced-stage resource project located in the Kakagi Lake Greenstone Belt of the Archean-aged Superior Province located in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Patrick is Chalice’s Exploration Manager for Canada and utilized the ASD TerraSpec Halo mineral identifier on-site to quickly determine spectral data, which allowed Chalice to vector towards a target.
