A total of six students have been selected to receive temporary use of a TerraSpec® 4 mineral analyzer with The Spectral Geologist (TSG®) Pro mineral analysis software or a TerraSpec Halo mineral identifier as part of the 2015 Students in Mining TerraSpec Instrument Program.

Students who are enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program within an accredited college or university are encouraged to submit their proposals for the 2015 Students in Mining Program by November 15, 2014. The students with the most inventive mineral analysis projects will be selected to obtain temporary use of a full-range TerraSpec 4 Hi-Res mineral spectrometer system.

The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) 2013 Annual Meeting and Exhibition combines again with the Colorado Mining Association’s (CMA) 115th National Western Mining Conference to represent the premier gathering of mineral professionals held in Colorado and the mining industry in general. This year’s show is themed, “It’s All About the People,” and will take place February 24-27 at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver. ASD looks forward to exhibiting at booth 1040 during this year’s show.
